Another One Bites The Dust For Vertigo; Madame Xanadu

Madame Xanadu Gets The Same Boot As Others

Despite it’s sales being far from the worse of Vertigo’s inventory Madame Xanadu, by Matt Wagner and Amy Reeder, is all but confirmed to be canceled. That will make it the fourth on a list of recent titles to also be canceled; Air, Unknown Soldier and Greek Street. With an experimental publisher like Vertigo sad cancellations are a part of the game; however, it seems like Vertigo is cleaning house just a bit. Fans of other titles like House of Mystery, Northlanders and Scalped have to be juuuust a little worried.

No word on the last issue. Too bad, it’s a great story with some beautiful art. We’ve complimented Amy Reeder’s art several times in our Cover of the Week column.

San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing though and some new title announcements wouldn’t surprise anyone.
