And Just Like That Andrew Garfield Wins My Heart
We’ve seen actors act turn fanboy at comi-cons before but this…this might be one of the coolest actor moments at a comic-con ever. Andrew Garfield just went from “that kid playing Peter Parker in the new movie,” to “Andrew Garfield, my new favorite human being ever.”
Maybe it was scripted – because, you know, he read from a script – and maybe Andrew Garfield would still be alive without Spider-Man but honestly…I don’t care…it was just too good, too genuine, too candid, and just too awesome. He also got to play Emma Stone’s boyfriend, another reason he’s cool. The only thing that could ruin him as Peter Parker is another jazz dancing scene.
That being said, this is still one of my favorite movie scenes of all time:
So maybe I should wait till I see the movie.
Either way, hats off to you Andrew Garfield.

That was pretty cool, but I think last years appearance of Nathan Fillion at Joss Weedon’s panel was cooler (maybe because I was there when it happened?). It was ridiculously funny. Joss was taking questions from fans and this dude comes up to ask him who his favortie actor that he works with is. Joss is reluctant to answer and then has this aura of realization come over him and he says, “Its Nathan Fillion.” Everyone cheers for his choice, but then he goes on pointing, “No, its Nathan Fillion.” EVeryone turns around thinking he’s in the back of the room but one more clarification for the room is what it takes, “No… everyone, hes Nathan Fillion.” EVeryone looks back to the questioning fan who proceeds to take off a wig, a beard and a pair of glasses to reveal himself as Nathan Fillion… crowd went nuts, lol. I think that was better than this simply because it wasn’t apparently supposed to happen, it was just the actor stepping in, rather than a planned introduction, y’know? But yeah, anyway… I really wish I had been there this year, but life happens.
