This Just In: Catwoman Wears Black

Our first look of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises is eating up internet server space across the world since it’s release. But like most releases from this film so far…it’s not much (We’ve also included some set pictures of a stunt double Selina Kyle).

The only real information I can gather from this picture – other than the reappearance of the Batpod – is how hard this movie is pushing “Selina Kyle” instead of “Catwoman.” If the picture tells us anything it’s that this is not a movie about Catwoman. Excuse me, Selina Kyle. Even the site labeled the URL to the picture, “selina_kyle.html.” No cat ears, no Jim Lee goggles, just Selina Kyle in black on the Batpod.

OR…this picture is telling us that we should mass speculate that Selina Kyle will be a secret agent a la Black Widow in the upcoming Avengers movie who sneaks into Bruce’s wannabe Batcave to spy on him based on information from Amanda Waller, the Security of State working with President Luthor!
