How To Make A Good Trailer: Ninjas + Bruce Willis
The new G.I. movie, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, has hit and it actually looks kinda good.
Cobra Commander in mask, The Rock (who I actually don’t mind), lots of explosions, Cobra banners hanging from the Whitehouse, more Snake Eyes, a ninja battle on the side of a mountain, more explosions, and Bruce-freaking-Willis.
…nothing in that above list makes up bad movies.
Of course, just about all of those things have also been in bad movies. And G.I. Joe: Rise Of Cobra certainly didn’t blow reviewers away. So the jury is still out, but man, a pretty impressive trailer.
G.I. Joe: Retaliation is in theaters June 29, 2012.

The plot appears “not unlike” the new Mission Impossible movie. The Heroes are betrayed by their superiors and branded criminals. They now have to fight everyONE, prove their innocence and save the world.
Also, is it just me, or does every movie trailer ever begin with a shot of that same mountain range?
Joking aside, this movie does look pretty bad-ass.
To be fair, the most recent G.I. Joe cartoon series, RENEGADES, was running with the Joes as outlaws angle, too, so the whole MI4 connection is undoubtedly little more than coincidence. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMnmYWeyzRY
