DC Nation – Aardman by redruger
Coming in 2012 is Cartoon Network’s programming block of DC Comics (excuse me, DC Entertainment) programming, DC Nation. The trailer emphasizes their two shows Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series but also promises some shorts; one of which comes from Aardman Animations, the same studio that animated the Wallace and Gromit movies, who has released a promo for their DC Nation work featuring some of the DC Universe done claymation style.Although technically not the first people to give DC Comics a claymation spin the pros nail it, getting me more (than I already was) excited for complete work on DC Nation.
My favorite part: probably Batman describing how he jumps off rooftops, or Superman eating cookies, or Catwoman embarrassingly coughing up a hairball. Ok, the whole thing was my favorite part. Even Joker’s laugh as he falls down the air duct (a small tip of the hat anyone?).
If this is some of what DC Nation has to offer aside from their two (already pretty good) shows than I”ll have to ask my wife to make some more room on our DVR (so long Boy Meets World reruns).
