Puppets, More Owls, & Friendly Neighboors In Next Batman Arc?

Greg Capullo dropped the above hint on Twitter as to what’s in store for the Batman arc following Night of the Owls.

I couldn’t help but to read way to much into it and speculate…

My first guess is the Ventriloquist. Him and Scarface are already pretty “twisted” and with Scott’s horror writing and Capullo’s style they could easily take it up a notch. Interesting too that back in March Scott Snyder tweeted about the Ventriloquist being one of his favorites. Capullo gave another hint later in the day saying, “Time to design some new old villains with @Ssnyder1835.” Sounds like the most likely of scenarios.

Of course there is Lady Elaine Fairchilde (The puppet in the top right. I looked it up. Didn’t know it off the top of my head. I swear.) She’s pretty twisted looking and dresses kinda like a clown. Or at least kinda like a…Joker.

Course, the latest Ventriloquist, Peyton Riley, was also a chick in red. Mmmmm….

The hint I’m still stuck on, the two uses of “U.” The, “Can U say twisted? Sure U can.” seemed to intentional not be a nod. Anyone have any thoughts let me know.

And finally the owl. Kudos tor Mr. Capullo for getting a freaking owl in there. I imagine even after the Night of the Owls event that their impression on Gotham will remain permanent.
