Predators Movie Review

Troublemaker Studios has decided to take a whack at the Predator action movies, this time simply calling their film Predators. The first movie, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, was a great action flick, the sequel, set in LA, not quite as good. Alien Vs. Predators, which was initially a fantastic series by Dark Horse Comics, turned into some truly hideous movies. This one comes back to a decent action flick like the first.

Batman: Under The Red Hood Review

The latest DCU Original Animated Movie, Batman: Under The Red Hood was released on July 27, and was based on the Judd Winick storyline Under The Hood, which serves as a sequel to the controversial 1980′s story Batman: A Death In The Family. In A Death In The Family, the second Robin, Jason Todd and Batman embark on a mission to find Jason’s long lost mother, which eventually leads to his demise at the hands of The Joker.

Jonah Hex Movie Review

Imagine you’ve purchased tickets for a movie that all the previews looked like a fun action romp with characters that are not only interesting to look at, but appear to have some sort of interesting back story.  Now, imagine that based on your experience with all other movies tells you that this back story will be played out in detail leaving you with a well-rounded feel for who these people are and why they do the things they do.  Okay, you got the picture?  Let’s just say this movie you’ve plunked down your money for is called Serenity.  But there never was a series on television by the name of Firefly.  If you never knew the complexities of Mal’s feelings for Inara, or Mal’s situational ethics and morals, then you’d wonder why this guy was so unpredictable and hard headed.  If you didn’t see the blossoming relationship between Kaylee and Simon, you’d wonder what the hell’s with those two.  I won’t even mention the complexity of River…

Now you see the problem that Jonah Hex has.

Kick-Ass Movie Review

Well the Kick-Ass hype machine seems to be taking the world by storm and it’s hard not be swept up in it. Everywhere I look is an advert for this new movie, whether it be on sites like Youtube on the net, adverts on my TV Screen or posters at my local bus stops. This movie is everywhere and everyone seems to be talking about it, just like the comic book when it was first released, but does it live up to the hype?
