Batman and Robin #7 Review

After more then two months of waiting, Grant Morrison’s Batman and Robin title returns.  Issue #7 opens up with Dick removing Bruce’s dead corps from Wayne Tower; then where seen with Batman and Squire in London stopping a Bomber from blowing up a subway.  Afterwards where taken to prison in London that’s sort of like their Arkham Asylum, called Basement 101. where DickGrayson Questions a character named Pearly King of Crime. He’s seen playing with a bunch of dominoes, as he’s talking to Batman . Next we see Alfred and Talia discussing Damien’s future as he’s being repaired in a giant tank like was seen in Batman 665. I don’t want to spoil to much of the issue, for readers who haven’t picked up the issue yet, but the entire issue sets up for what happens in  Batman and Robin issue 8. Readers will learn more as to why Dick’s trying to find away to bring Bruce Wayne back from the dead.  The story does end with a Batman rising from the Lazarus pit.

Batwoman does appear in the issue but I do find it disappointing how she’s introduce in the story. Theirs an error between a conversations with Dick and Kate, which  will get many readers confused with the issue. I had to reread the issue a few times just to understand what happens in their scene, in my opinion it kind of ruin the issue for me, thanks a lot DC Comics. The Art is a huge plus. Cameron Stewart art is fantastic compared to Philip Tan. His art in the issue is very similar to Frank Quitley’s art but with out the puffy cheeks, and sketchy look.  Cameron’s art will definitely get more comic book fans to pick up the issue.

Looking forward to find out who really is the dead Batman in issue 8.
