We Get An Actual Superman Villain In Earth One Vol. 2 [Preview]

Superman Earth One Vol 2 Preview

Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly we get a pretty hefty Superman: Earth One Vol. 2 preview from J. Michael Straczynski and Shane Davis. The polarizing responses from fans and critics for Vol. 1 (even within our own site; T.A. scoring it a 90% in his review, and it’s only appearance in our 2010 wrap-up as one the years biggest busts), along with the success of Batman: Earth One Vol. 1 are sure to keep this release pretty spotlighted.

Batman Earth One Preview & Interview

We’ve chronologized the drama behind Batman: Earth One quite a bit but it really is happening, soon actually, and I couldn’t be more excited. While Superman: Earth One was a bust for me the teaming up of Geoff Johns and Gary Frank telling an alternate universe origin story for Batman hasn’t scared me off completely to the Earth One concept.

And thanks to BuzzFeed we get another (and probably our last) preview, including an interview with writer Geoff Johns. Preview and quotes inside the full article.

Beware The Batman. And His New Batmobile. And His Teaser Trailer. And The Animation.

Shortly after the new report/rumors about the new Batman TV show we get our first Beware the Batman teaser trailer. And while 24 seconds isn’t much it’s enough to speculate with. And starting with a new Batmobile never hurts either.

Comic Fans Finally Get To “Score” In May 2012 (Eh?) [Preview]

(Ok, horrible title, but still…) Since the end of Darwyn Cooke’s second adaptation of Donald E. Westlake’s (a.k.a. Richard Stark) Parker novel series, The Outfit, which teased “Parker will return in 2012″ there was little to no information on it’s release, until now. IDW Publishing’s Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall recently broke the news on his blog that Darwyn Cooke’s third Parker novel, The Score, would be arriving sooner than expected, May 2012.

The announcement included a one-page teaser/preview.

Peanuts Are The Best Tasting Nostalgia Ever [Preview]

Out this week (Jan. 5) from Boom! Studio’s all ages publisher imprint kaboom! is the first issue of it’s new series, Peanuts #1. The reaction to their first testing of non-Charles Schwartz Peanuts work with Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown was positive enough that there is no reason to believe this couldn’t be another nostalgic home run from a publisher familiar enough with the concept.

We don’t post a ton of previews, and the book is already out, but this was just too good to not share.
