So, we’re five months into the “DCNU,” and they’ve already announced the first wave of cancellations, and the books replacing them. I started writing this before these events, but looking at it, nothing is really changed by the announcements. As ever, these are just my opinions, so feel free to disagree, comment, whatever you like…10 Things I wish they’d clarify in the New DCU:
Cartoon Network issued a press release listing the new and returning shows for their 2013 lineup, Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series were not included.
Aqualad hits the team where it hurts in this week’s explosive episode.
Young Justice returns (as does our coverage of the show) with a bang!
So a while back, I wrote a review of the first six issues of a bunch of the DC NU titles. For a quick recap, you can find those here:
Well another six months have passed and I’m back again for the second half of DC’s relaunch year. Has it gotten better? Or has the same ridiculousness continued to be spewed. Only one way to find out, and that is to read on.
So right off the bat, I must let you know that I am not a DC fan. I am a collector of 25+ years and 80% of my collection is Marvel. I do know some DC history and I always pick up the “events” from the amazing Crisis on Infinite Earths until the most recent load of camel dung Flashpoint. I know most if not all of the characters but not their history or personality quirks. With the DC Reboot, I, as a DC Noob, was given the rare opportunity to get in on what is supposed to be the ground floor of a new Universe. A fresh start into some of the greatest comic book characters ever created.

The Titans start coming together to face the menace of NOWHERE and their most powerful agent, Superboy.
DC Comics recently announced their “second wave” of titles as a continued edition to their New 52 initiative, which of course means that six titles have to be replaced. The new series will start in May and the replaced series will end in April with their eighth issue.
Speculation of this move has existed since the the titles first started to be announced and it was obvious that some could probably not carry an ongoing series.
Speculate no more.
Unless you want to speculate the “Third Wave.” Then speculate away.
That’s four “speculate(s)” in four sentences.
