Dungeons And Dragons #7
So let’s talk about the book. Fell has captured the princess but that doesn’t stop Varis from threatening to kill them anyway. The tension is almost broken when the rest of the humans outside begin to get slaughtered. Too bad their killers are slaughtered as well. When everyone goes to investigate, the party is attacked by an army of drow elves. Heavily outnumbered, humans and elves start to fall. It seems like they will be overwhelmed when Khal busts through a wall and manages to help everyone escape. Beaten and battered, Adric figures out a way to help the remaining survivors escape. As everyone enters the portal, Adric’s memories return to present times and he wakes up. He, along with the rest of Fell’s Five are in the Fey Wild with no way to get home. And that’s the book.
So let’s talk opinions. This was another non stop action packed thrill ride. There really is no stopping when it comes to Dungeons and Dragons. It’s one action sequence or near death situation after another. There really is no other book on the market today that can deliver so much good action and adventure month after month. I still miss Bree very much and am extremely upset she was not in the last two issues. She adds a level of humor to the story that really raises it from great to stupendous. I like that we get a quick introduction to Adric’s future love interest as well as some foreshadowing towards the other members of this quest and what might happen to them. It makes me really interested in knowing their full story too. The art was pretty cool this issue but a little too dark and shadowy for my tastes. The lines, in some panels, tended to blend in on each other making it difficult to distinguish individual images. The fight scenes were pretty awesome though so it wasn’t all bad. A pretty great issue in general. I’m looking forward to next issue when we get back to Fell’s Five and their story. (Plus more Bree. Thieves are awesome.) PS – another character sheet for our collection. Sweet. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
