Irredeemable #25 Review
Irredeemable #25
Plutonian’s escape from captivity continues. Today I will be reviewing Irredeemable #25. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.
So let’s talk about the book. The Plutonian and Auroran keep powering their way through many enemies and obstacles in an attempt to reach the center of the planet they are prisoners of. Along the way they gain an ally who decides to join them. While fighting one of the monsters trying to stop them, Plutonian is forced to remember his first appearance to the general population and the first life he saved. That man had the same face as Auroran, but the Plutonian has not made the connection as of yet. Meanwhile, Modeus and Qubit return to Modeus’ base while Survivor searches for Qubit and Kaidan. He also reaserts his control over the villains he has hired as members of the new Paradigm. And that’s the book.
So let’s talk opinions. Now this one I did not see coming. So Auroran is a memory from Tony’s past. If you notice, he really didn’t do any fighting at all against the monsters trying to kill the Plutonian. Maybe he’s a figment of Tony’s imagination and, in some way, another way for Tony to redeem himself for all of the bad he has done. The first person he saved is now saving him and allowing him to return to where he began. Very cool. I like how Survivor is being built up to be a much bigger threat than the Plutonian ever was. I also loved the nonchalant way Modeus explained Tony’s powers and proved how he is much smarter and dangerous than Qubit. I just wish that their plans can finally be put into motion so we can get to the inevitable confrontation with Survivor that I’m sure everyone is craving. The art this issue was it’s usual awesomeness. I love the visuals in the opening sequence showing Modeus’ walk to his home. The battle scene against the Forest of Woe was pretty cool, especially the trees attacking Tony’s eyes. All of the facial expressions were spot on as well. Overall, a great issue. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
