Dungeons And Dragons #11 Review

Fell’s Five’s quest to escape the Feywild comes to a pulse pounding conclusion. Today I will be reviewing Dungeons and Dragons #11. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Dungeons And Dragons #11

So let’s talk about the book. First off, since I missed it, I will review issue #10. Using lies and subterfuge, Fell’s Five enter the city of the mad Fomorian giant Thrumbolg. Using a plan made by Bree, the thief, Adric and his crew reach the inner sanctum of Thrumbolg, where they are questioned by Declan, Thrumbolg’s second. An agreement is reached between them and they are granted the right to speak to the man researching the Guide of Gates. Too bad it is Trasgar, a man from Adric’s past who recognizes the group.

Now onto this issue. Since Trasgar is blind, he only manages to recognize Varis’ voice. Tisha convinces Trasgar that all is well and the two go talk. Meanwhile, Adric and the others sneak into the chamber where the Guide is. Too bad a golem is protecting it and begins to attack. Bree manages to steal the Guide while the others are fighting the golem. Making their escape, the team returns to Trasgar’s chamber. After some more trickery and conniving, they manage to trick heir way out of the city and even destroy their enemies who accompanied them. Returning to Toveliss, Adric goes back on his bargain and instead, uses the guide to release N’ehlia, another powerful eladrin lord who was under a spell. That lord, in a show of gratitude, returns Fell’s Five back to their world. They are greeted with joy and have a few drinks and a few laughs. Tisha, however, made a deal with Trasgar, for information. A deal that might end up costing the others their lives. And that’s the book.

So let’s talk opinions. Oh yeah baby. This is a lot more like it. My favorite monthly comic is back with a vengeance. Everything that was missing from issue #9, and was slightly present in #10, is all over the place in this issue. Plenty of action on top of incredible humor. The story was great and the pacing was nonstop. I especially enjoyed all of the plans and backup plans that Adric had that all came to fruition in the end. As the great Hannibal Smith once said, I love it when a plan comes together. Everything just fell into place by the end of the story. Every single plotline that had been laid out in the past ten issues were all culminated and wrapped up in this book. All but one, that is. Tisha’s tale is still hanging but I’m sure we will be addressing it sometime soon. I’m still hoping that Bree gets center stage soon as well as she is still my favorite character. The art was once again a joy to look at. Incredible images and colorful splash pages were leaping off the page. The golem was also incredibly cool. I can’t wait for next issue. Until then, remember to only step on the white squares. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.

I have been a comic collector and reader for 25 years. My major comic love is all things Marvel with the X-Men being at the top. I also dabble in anything and everything that catches my eye. Guess that makes me the "all over the place" reviewer. A title which I claim with pride. I am a happily married man of almost 10 years living in Brooklyn, NY with my wife and two amazing boys. I hope you enjoy my opinions and I look forward to reading and responding to any comments or criticisms.
