Deadpool #45 Review

Deadpool returns from England. So does an unwanted guest. Today I will be reviewing Deadpool #45. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Deadpool #45
So let’s talk about the book. Deadpool hitches a ride on a freighter to get back to the USA. While there, he rescues a bunch of teenage girls who are being kidnapped from their home countries to be turned into prostitutes. He also comes to the realization that he likes to make his life difficult, while standing on a bridge heading into New Jersey. Meanwhile, the severed body parts of Deadpool that Dr. Whitby was collecting that Deadpool threw out have thawed and healed themselves into a weird Frankenstein version of Deadpool. Frankenpool hijacks himself a private jet and crew which he forces to fly the jet to the United States. When they get over the Atlantic, Frankenpool, who is completely insane and homicidal, kills everyone on board, and teleports to a Chimichanga stand in New Jersey, while the plane crashes into a bridge. The same bridge that Deadpool is standing on. And that’s the book.
So let’s talk opinions. Wow. Another excellent issue of Deadpool. I actually really love Frankenpool. He reminds me of the way Deadpool was waaaaay back in the beginning before Marvel decided to make him PC. He kills without remorse. He is only interested in himself. He is incredibly sarcastic and uber-violent. His inner thoughts are psychotic and violent as well. The Deadpool of today is pretty bad ass, and not afraid to get his hands dirty, but he is really too in touch with his feelings. He’s too damn emotional. And his sense of reality is completely warped, but not in a good way. He seems to zone out way too much. He still knows how to deliver a massive beating which is always cool. In any case, the story was pretty cool. I liked the pacing which gave each pool equal face time. I liked the way that both characters were basically aimed at each other for a possibly awesome confrontation next issue. I also really enjoyed the sarcasm being thrown all over the place. Great bit of writing. Moving on to art. I really loved it this issue. I think Frankenpool looks really freaky. It’s actually a bit disturbing how freaky he actually seems. Something about the head makes him look like an alien or that it’s about to explode. I also liked the art on the girls, even though most of them looked alike. I thought the tattoo was pretty nice. I liked the flies that kept circling Frankenpool. Nice touch. The backgrounds could definitely use some work, but other than that, I really enjoyed it. Let’s hope next issue’s inevitable battle is really awesome. That’s my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
